Description

"PROJECT A" is a 1988 German film directed by Tomy Wigand and based on the novel of the same name by Klaus Kordon. Set in Berlin during the late 1800s, the film follows the lives of a group of street kids and explores themes of poverty, survival, and friendship. The story revolves around four orphans: a young girl named Jette, her friend Fred, and two brothers named Gustav and Anton. The four children find solace in their friendship and rely on each other to navigate the harsh realities of their impoverished lives. Their situation becomes even more complicated when they stumble upon a secret treasure map that could potentially change their lives. Determined to find the treasure and escape their dire circumstances, the group embarks on a thrilling adventure that takes them through the streets of Berlin. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including a corrupt detective and a gang of criminals who are also after the treasure. With their resilience and resourcefulness, the children employ their wits to outsmart their adversaries and stay one step ahead. As the story unfolds, the characters' friendships are tested, and they learn important lessons about trust, loyalty, and the value of true companionship. Despite the challenges they face, the children remain resilient and determined to succeed. "PROJECT A" is a heartwarming tale that highlights the strength of the human spirit and the power of friendship. It captures the essence of life in late 19th-century Berlin, painting a vivid picture of the city's social dynamics and the struggles of its less fortunate residents.
